History Reports
About History Reports
SARS requires the reconciliation of PAYE, UIF and SDL on a Periodic basis. This is by means of completing an EMP501 on e@syFile. In VIP, data is available per month and can be extracted to assist with this reconciliation process.
The following History Reports are available:
- EMP501 Reconciliation Report,
- EMP501 Validation Report,
- Leave Report,
- Loan Report,
- Salary History,
- Savings Report,
- Company Car History,
- Increase History,
- ETI History, and
- Payroll Listing Report.
History Reports Detail

This report:
- Is a Summary Report.
- Prints Company Totals for PAYE, Additional Tax, Tax on Lump Sum, Employee and Employer UIF and SDL.
- Allows selection of specific months within a single tax year.
- Prints figures per month.
- Prints for single or multiple companies that have the same PAYE Registration Number.

This report:
- Is a Detailed Report.
- Compares Earnings, Deductions and Company Contributions with IRP5 Codes and all Perks Tax amounts which saved on VIP during the Start of Period Procedure with the History Payslip information.
- Allows selection of specific Pay Periods within a single tax year.
- Allows for specific employees to be selected.
- Is only available for the Current Company and not for Multiple Companies due to the many calculations that take place in this report.
If you have not printed payslips in VIP during any of the periods you have selected for this report, it will result in differences on this report.

The History Leave Report prints different Leave Lines and the values saved for those specific Leave Lines, in a given company, per specified pay period.

The Loan and Savings Reports are two separate reports that print the history of the different Loan or Savings Deduction Lines, in a given company, together with balances, per specified pay period.

The Salary HistoryReport enables you to print the history of contractual salaries and package amounts as well as actual net salaries to be paid to the employee. Increase to Fixed and/or Net Salaries are indicated as percentages.

The Company Car History Report records all employee company car history information.

The Increase History Report records history information found on the Employee Increase Screen.

The ETI History Report records history information found on the Employee ETI Screen.

How to Access History Reports
Accessing the History Reports from the VIP Main Menu:
- Click on History.
- Click on Reports.
- Select the report that you want to print.
- Make the necessary selections on the Report Selection Screen(s) and click on <Continue>.
